Enhancing Perception
for Increased Wellbeing

Explore how to direct, shift, and sustain your attention—and how these capacities shape the way you experience the world around you. The Art of Seeing Wellbeing uses art and perceptual practice as practical tools for strengthening presence, attention, and self-awareness, all of which are key to reducing stress and supporting our sense of wellbeing.

Each session combines close observation of artworks with discussion, structured looking exercises, reflective writing, and hands-on visual and creative activities. You’ll explore present-moment attention, sensory and emotional awareness, perspective-taking, pleasure and restoration, and sustainable approaches to self-care. No previous experience with art or creative practice is required.

Through our sessions, art becomes a perceptual platform: a place to slow down, notice what is happening in real time, and experience how a shift in perception can change what you see, feel, and understand. As you look closely, you can also become more aware of your own emotional responses—and of the relationship between perception, attention, and feeling.

Rather than treating perception as simply a mental skill, the program invites you to experience it as a powerful way of shaping your experience. By understanding what conditions where and how you look, you can discover new possibilities for sensory enrichment, self-awareness, restoration, and wellbeing.
